These terms apply to your use of locardo.ca (the "site"), operated by Locardo Systems Inc. ("Locardo", "we"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Using the site

You may view the site and contact us through it for lawful purposes. You must not:

• use the site in a way that breaks any law or infringes anyone's rights;
• send spam, malicious code or automated submissions through the contact form;
• try to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting or any connected system, or test their vulnerability without our written permission;
• interfere with or disrupt the site, or place an unreasonable load on it;
• scrape, harvest or copy the site's content by automated means, except for normal search-engine indexing.

We may block or restrict access to anyone who breaks these rules.

2. Our content

The site and its content, including text, images, logos and the Locardo name, belong to Locardo or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trade-mark and other laws. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You must not otherwise copy, modify, republish or use them commercially without our written permission.

3. Product and company information

Information on the site about Locardo, our technology and our products is general and indicative. It is not a specification, a performance guarantee or an offer to sell. Products, capabilities and availability may change without notice. Any supply of products or services is governed only by a separate written agreement signed by Locardo.

4. What you send us

Please do not send confidential or proprietary information through the contact form or by unsolicited email. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, anything you send us (including ideas, suggestions and proposals) is not treated as confidential, and sending it does not create any obligation on Locardo or give you any rights in what we develop. This does not affect how we handle your personal information, which is described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Links to other sites

The site may link to websites run by others. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or practices.

6. Export controls

Locardo's technology and products may be subject to the export-control and sanctions laws of Canada and other countries. Nothing on the site is an offer or authorisation to export, transfer or supply any product, technology or technical data. Nothing can be ordered through the site.

7. No warranty

To the extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components, or that its content is complete, accurate or current.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Locardo and its directors, officers, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for any loss of profits, data or business, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, even if we were told such loss was possible. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Indemnity

You agree to compensate Locardo for any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You and Locardo agree that the courts of British Columbia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute about the site or these terms, unless the law of the place where you live gives you a right to bring proceedings there.

11. Changes and general

We may change these terms by posting a new version on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term, that does not waive our right to do so later.
